Inspired by the ultimate love story of Ali & Nino with the 8-meter-tall contemporary kinetic monumentof two lovers standing at the seaside boulevard of Batumi, Georgia. The statues are designed to move towards each other everyday to embrace, blending into one another.
This collection captures the sense of intertwinement which leads to intimacy, as Vero Amore means ‘true love’ in Italian. The timeless connection between diamonds and true love is captured in the DeGem Vero Amore pieces, offering a contemporary interpretation of the classic Toi & Moi (you & me) aesthetic.
The design mirrors the form of the monument’s stacked segments to create effect of volume and perspective. Contrasting diamond shapes express the duality of “Ali and Nino”, with the geometry of baguette diamonds paired with polished round brilliant cut diamonds artfully arranged and set in 18k white gold.
Blending both modern elements of architectural elements to the creative jewellery design from the moving steel sculpture by Georgian Sculptor Tamara Kvesitadze.
